Day of Defeat is a World War II multiplayer total conversion of "Half-life." DoD attempts to recreate WWII battles in both fictional and non-fictional environments. DoD puts you in the shoes (rather, combat boots!) of either an Allied or Axis soldier circa 1944, Western Europe.
All users - Delete or rename your old 3.1 version of DoD before installing.

The team-play game for Half-life, based on the original Team Fortress mod for Quake, Choose any one of 9 classes each with there own different weapons and abilities including a spy, a sniper, a demoman, a heavy-weapons guy, and more!

A superb mod that is obviously excellent fun although for some, maybe a little OTT. The mod basically changes all the weapons to fire something different, for example the tripwire becomes a headcrab proximity mine and the crowbar fires rockets. Very cool stuff.

Counter-Strike is a modification (MOD) to the excellent game, Half-Life. It modifies the multiplayer aspects of Half-Life to bring to it a more team-oriented gameplay. Counter-Strike provides the player with an experience that a trained counter-terrorist unit or terrorist unit experiences.

Snark Wars is all about Snarks. Fighting with snarks, killing snarks, even being a snark. In Snark Wars there are a variety of new or modified weapons, most important of which is the egon. The egon has been modified to change other players into Snarks. If you are hit with its "Snark Ray," you will respawn as a snark! Additional new weapons are the snark gun (fire snarks at people at a high rate of speed), the discgun (fire explosive discs, ala Unreal), and several others as well.

Goldeneye is a multiplayer partial conversion for Half-Life by Valve Software. It will have regular deathmatch and a team play mode like Action Quake and Action Half-Life, where two teams start at opposite sides of a level, and the first team to annihilate the other team wins.

Canned Tuna provides the player with a narrow range of demanding and highly useful guns; each has its own definite purpose and place in the game, and each requires different skills. From the stealthy, messy kills of the crowbar, the accuracy of the laser rifle, the ballistics of the mortar and the careful positioning of the specially-adapted sonic tripmines to the reflexes and strategic potential of the humble (heh) machinegun, the weapons are highly defined and individual, and each has its own place in the arsenal. Infinite ammo and being given all the weapons at the start of each level leads to tense and exciting battles.

Science and Industry is a teamplay mod for Half-Life, in which players assume the role of Security Officer in one of two rival corporations striving for domination in the cutthroat world of chemical and weapons research and development.
As security officer, it is your job to acquire and protect your company's most valuable human resources -- scientists. Scientists conduct research and develop new products, bringing your company profit. Conveniently, the products your company's scientists develop take the form of new weapons that you and your fellow security officers can use to pound the other company into submission. Your company needn't be happy just letting its small staff of scientists toil away at new developments when there are plenty more scientist resources ripe for the picking at the competition. Stealing scientists from your rivals is a great way to boost productivity and keep those new weapons coming, but of course, your competition has the same tactic in mind. So defending your company's scientists is just as important as "finding" new ones. Of course, the vagaries of particle physics are difficult to ponder in the middle of a firefight, so if you expect your scientists to be productive, you'd better keep the fight as far from them as possible.

This is a great class based mod that gives your character more than just great weapons. Super Powers! With the ability to go at it bare knuckled against another in the Half-Life game as well.

This is a deathmatch enhancement that has cheat protection, spectator mode, new game modes and match features.

Jailbreak is a Mulitplayer Teamplay mod for Half-Life. Jailbreak continues the eternal battle between the reds vs. the blues. The difference in Jailbreak from other teamplay mods, is that in Jailbreak instead of trying to capture a flag or a goal, your team must capture the entire enemy team. When you have fragged an enemy player they are captured and placed in the jail of your team's base. When all of the enemy players have been captured, then they are executed and your team scores the capture point. But there's a catch. There is a jail release button in your base, if an enemy player infiltrates your base and presses this button, then your jail doors fly open and all of the prisoners are set free. This is not the only danger, most jails are not as secure as you may hope. Often there are air ducts that can be reached by prisoners if they cooperate. By stacking on top of one another, the prisoners can boost someone up to height where they can escape out of the jail. That escapee may be able to reach the release button and set their team free.

This is a fantastic Half-Life modification in likeness to the Hong Kong Blood Opera style movies. With John Woo style gameplay, fast action and memorable movements that will save your life, this is a duel, not a simple fragfest.

War in Europe is a multiplayer World War II based mod. In the game, you have the ability to choose from either the Axis or Allied. You also have a menu in which you have the ability to choose a primary weapon which you will have until you decide to change. In order to obtain particular weapons, players must achieve a certain fraglimit before they will become available. Other features include a ranking system which can either promote players or demote players, once again based on your "frag vs. death" status. For example, if your frag limit exceeds your death limit by three, then you are promoted to Seargent.

Sabaneta 2050 is a teamplay-based modification for Half-Life in which you play the role of cop or convict. Depending on which map you are playing, you will have a specific goal, whether it be to eliminate the opposing team's leader, rescue your team's leader, or escape from an enemy compound. As you kill opposing players, you will gain experience points; as you rack up these points, you will gain "levels," and at each new level, you will have access to more powerful weapons. Be careful not to die or kill your own teammates, though, as you will lose experience points, and thus, over time, levels.
